Do Something Positive....

On Thursday, February 12, 2015, a new "Tail" is coming to New York City. New York's newest non-profit organization, Positive Tails, is hosting its inaugural fundraising launch party at Brooklyn's Redwoods event space in Gowanus. Working in conjunction with the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group, an award-winning multi-disciplinary emergency and referral animal hospital with two locations in Brooklyn, Positive Tails was founded by a group of passionate animal lovers and volunteers being led by Dr. Brett Levitzke, Medical Director of VERG and Positive Tails Board President, and VERG client Erin Johnson, a non-profit fundraising director.

Positive Tails is a non-profit animal welfare organization that operates with a three-pronged mission to help re-write the stories of New York's animals. Through Ebbet's fund, Positive Tails provides grants to eligible clients who are unable to afford veterinary care for their animals with a good prognosis, and Walter's fund that offers funding for animals who are victims of abuse, as well as Broccoli and Toby's fund which helps partnered Trap Neuter Release groups with spay and neuter surgeries through VERG.

We hope that you will join Brooklyn Bark the Board of Directors of Positive Tails on Thursday, February 12, 2015 as the newest Positive Tails Storytellers and help them put their new non-profit on the map and raise much needed funds so they can continue to create new and happy "tails" for the animals and people of New York. This year's event will feature Cat Greenleaf of NBC's Talk Stoop, and include a silent auction, raffle, wine, catering by celebrity chef Jay Astafa and Vegan Treats, a kissing booth sponsored by Mr. Bones & Co., and many other festivities. It's going to be a truly magical evening to help animals!
