  • How do you keep cold brew concentrate?
It is best kept in the refrigerator. However, if unopened, it can be kept for a short period of time in a cool, dark place.
  • How should I measure my coffee?
It is almost impossible to tell you the right amount of coffee to measure out to make the perfect cup of coffee. When determining how much coffee to use, keep in mind not everyone’s idea of a cup is the same. A standard cup is 8oz, however, most coffee mugs are 12oz, 16 oz or more. Here are my recommendations for some of the more common coffee ratios: Minnesota Lite: 1 - 1 1/4 (one heaping table spoon) tablespoons per 8oz of water. Minnesota Nice: 1 1/4 - 2 tablespoons of coffee per 8oz of water. Minnesota Strong: 2-3 table spoons of coffee to 8oz of coffee. Using more coffee than this usually makes your spoon stand up by itself in the mug.
  • What if my cold brew concentrate freezes?
Slowly defrost it in the refrigerator
  • How long can cold brew concentrate be kept in the refrigerator?
It is at its smoothest for 3-4 weeks. However, concentrate still makes great drinks after this time period.
  • How is coffee decaffeinated?
Coffee can be decaffeinated in 4 ways. All coffee used by Gus Dean Coffee is decaffeinated using water. Decaffeinated coffee has about 2mg of caffeine/8oz cup.
