Those of us who remembered and were able to attend the Rotary meeting today were treated to a presentation by member, Diane Penna, Executive Director of the new Artis, Senior Living, on State Road in Briarcliff Manor. Diane discussed it’s mission especially in memory care. It will house persons with many forms of dementia, age, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s related. We learned that Alzheimer’s really can’t be confirmed except by autopsy since many forms of dementia exhibit the same behaviors.
