Larry Berliner, Guest Speaker
Local author, Larry Berliner, was our guest speaker today. After working on it for ten years, Larry published his first book, You Can’t Be Serious: An Inner-City Teacher A-Muses About School and Life. Larry explained how he came to write this book instead of The World’s Greatest Novel and read some excepts from it. It is a great book for teachers and those who know teachers, and can be purchased by visiting susanberliner.com, Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble. Thank you, Larry, for visiting us today!
Meeting Notes
It was a very small group that made it out in the snow today.
We will have a LUNCH MEETING NEXT WEEK, Jan. 24th. The Night Meetings Committee will let us know when the night meetings begin.
The Board Nominating Committee (Helen B., Geri and Isabel) will let us know at the next meeting who is being nominated for the 2018-19 Board.
David will find out if we have any credits left from the Wheelchair Project to cover the cost of a Community Paul Harris Awardee for this year.
Health of the Club
It was great to see Isabel at the meeting today. Helen L. has been given the OK to resume daily activities, so we shall see her soon, too. The Club is healthy again!!
This and That
Isabel won the raffle; the Jackpot keeps growing.
