Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker was Lisa Bonanno and Judy Perrin, of the SPCA of Westchester. The SPCA is a not-for-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving homeless, abused and abandoned animals and to protecting animals from cruelty and neglect through education and enforcement of humane laws. The SPCA gets no federal, state, or county funds; they rely solely on the financial support of people, corporations and foundations who care about the welfare of animals.
Some of the programs they offer include: shelter services, cruelty investigation and intervention, low-cost veterinary care, transportation and rescue, golden outreach pet therapy, SPCA volunteer program, and educational outreach. They are always looking for donations; here is a link to their wish list: http://www.spca914.org/donate/wish-list Thank you Lisa & Judy!
