Guest Speaker
Tricy Cushner, CEO and President of Alliance for Safe Kids, talked about this fabulous organization which has many programs for adults as well as young people; eg: Fathers Forum, Prescription Drug Disposal, Save a Life. etc. All sectors of the community come together to provide help for the youth and their families and it has been very successful. The Youth Court is an example of kids helping kids.

Meeting Notes

We received a $29 donation from our Night at Panera’s fundraiser.
The Lions are holding a Spaghetti and Meatball fundraiser on November 18 at the American Legion Post on Veterans Road. There are two seatings: one at 5pm and one at 7pm. Geri took a headcount of those interested in attending each and will make reservations. An email will be sent out and members not at the meeting can make their own reservations.
Our potential exchange student has not completed the paperwork and the deadline has passed, so we will not be participating in an exchange.
The Bronx Club’s Holiday Party will take place on December 16 and, so far, five members are planning to attend.
Our Holiday Dinner is scheduled for December 9 at Traditions. Please respond to Patti’s email by November 30.
Rose advised us that we made a profit of $2,597 from the Best & the Wurst.
The Presbyterian Church would welcome donations of children’s coats and jackets.
