Guest Speaker
Former Town Supervisor, Linda Cooper is now Regional Director of NYS Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation - Taconic Region (Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Columbia Counties). She spoke to us about the many public areas in the region, such as John Jay Homestead, Hudson Highland State Park Preserve, James Baird State Park, Olana State Park and so many others in the Taconic Region and throughout New York State. Meeting Notes
Alice presided and the following matters were discussed:
David said we are ready for The Best & the Wurst on Saturday and a signup sheet was passed around for job assignments.
Rose announced that we are set for the fund raiser at Panera on Thursday, Nov. 3rd and flyers were passed around. A flyer must be presented when buying on that night for the club to receive a donation.
Our Holiday party with Northeast Westchester Club is set for Dec.10th, at Piatta Grill (Editors’ note: the date has been changed since the meeting to Friday, December 9th, and it will take place at Traditions. We will not be joined by the NW Club). We will have, as always, the Chinese Auction.
Helen B. will coordinate with Mother Claire and The Seabury re: a coat drive. More info is forthcoming about these events.
Health of Club
There have been no reports of illness among the members.

We were very happy to welcome many guests today: Hermion, Natasha, Mother Claire, Bob, Andrew, John and Steve who is from the Northeast Westchester Club. Good to see you all!
Isabel won the 50-50 Raffle and received $10.
FYI
October is filled with holidays concerning food: It’s Apple Jack month and it is also Eat Country Ham month. Moving along it’s Seafood month and Cookie month. One can have some down right delicious meals during October - Enjoy!!!
